Teens

Growing up isn't easy and the teenage experience changes from generation to generation. Teens face a unique set of problems, and sometimes need support beyond what a parent or friend can give. As an intensive services therapist working with foster youth, I've helped teens process some of the toughest challenges. Having an objective, neutral person offer a listening ear, can make all the difference.

Issues I've Helped Teenage Clients Overcome:

  • Peer Pressure

  • Perfectionism

  • School and academic problems

  • Social anxiety

  • Self-Harm (e.g. cutting)

  • Depression

  • Low self-esteem

  • Loneliness

  • Trouble focusing in school

  • Strained family relationships

  • Grief/loss a loved one

  • Relationships

  • Gaining independence
